dusk Bridal Fair 2012 – 10-11 March {appearances}

16 Feb

I’m gearing up for the dusk Bridal Fair 2012 at the moment. (Actually it would be fair to say I’m struggling to find my mojo at the moment, but I’m trying hard!). I’m at the same booth as last year (43) and really looking forward to it. The dusk Bridal Fair always feels less frantic to me than some of the others and that’s great because it gives me time to really chat to the visitors which, of course, is the reason I exhibit there in the first place! 2012 New Ranges – Kids Party Invites & Accessories, New Wedding Stationery and Palm Wax Melts

11 Jan

Hello, and welcome to Just Jane in 2012!

For some time now I’ve had some printable kids party invites and accessories available in my store, but I thought I’d try my hand at printing some myself and seeing how people like them. I have printed out a couple of ‘fill-in’ invitation sets and accessory sets in a new range I plan to introduce this year. These items will be offered at my next market stall – 20th January, Central Walk Markets, Joondalup, WA – for customers to buy at a price they feel is fair for the quality. This is all in the name of market research … I’m a little bit scared but hope the results will give me good feedback. Continue reading

It’s August already! (and new Collections for 2011)

1 Aug

Well, here we are starting the 8th month of 2011 – where has the time gone?

Just Jane has undergone (yet another) facelift and my entire branding has changed. Hopefully it’s an improvement but only time will tell. I’ve done it all myself – websites, facebook welcome pages, Facebook profile pictures – so no doubt there will be lots of little hiccups as time moves on!

I’ve still managed to get some fresh designs launched for this year. I’m particularly loving the black and white one, and hopefully so will my clients! Here are the piccies of all three for you to check out

I’ve got some other news too, but will save that for another day.

Introducing Love’s Dream …

5 Jul

Love's Dream Collection - http://www.justjane.com.au

Rich red shimmer cardstock and handmade polymer clay hearts give this new invitation set a dreamy look. The set is not quite ready for full display yet, but I couldn’t wait to show you the pictures!

I made these mini red hearts quite a few weeks ago now and they’ve been sitting in a box on my desk begging me to do something with them. And then after weeks of hard work on revamping my websites and having no time to get hands on creative … inspiration suddenly struck! I love the floaty effect of the hearts leaving the tag. I love the deep richness of the red shimmer paper. And I love the simplicity of the overall look. I’m especially loving the font, Dobkin Script, at the moment too! What do you think?

The added beauty of this collection will be that the colour of the hearts can be coordinated with the bride’s choice of colours – we don’t have to stick with red … what about gold … or silver … maybe fuschia …

Here are some links to other red and hearty gorgeousness:

Colour Theme – Red from The Bride’s Diary website

Pandora Silver Charm – currently on sale at 63% off!!

Red Heart Lollipops – great idea for a favour

Red Heart Candles – Another favour idea?

Red dresses – I would not necessarily recommend buying a dress off the internet however. Do thorough research and due diligence.

Red wedding cakes – just look at all these beautiful cakes! A google search for ‘red wedding cakes’.

I’d love to see your red wedding pictures.

Wedding Inspiration Board

31 May

Generally when someone comes to me for their wedding stationery they already have an idea of colours and what they like and don’t like. Usually they have seen pictures of my work and that’s why they’ve come to me. What intrigues me is how they came to this point.

I love to know how peoples minds work!

A wedding inspiration board is a great way for the bride to gather all her thoughts together in one place. Your board can be a real board where you stick pictures and thoughts or it can simply be a folder on your computer. By keeping everything together it makes it easy to see whether that dress you had really set your heart on actually works with those flower arrangements you quite liked for the venue, or whether the colours you like actually do go together!

There are some super tools available on the internet to help you pull together a wedding inspiration board, below are just a few:
